Option 1: Run for fun. And good.

Why not get fit, spend time with mates and raise funds for a good cause - all at the same time? We've a number of premium entry spots for the Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon (May 15, 2016)The Age Run Melbourne (July 24, 2016)The Sun-Herald City2Surf (August 14, 2016) and Tough Mudder.

If you commit to raise at least $1000 for us you'll receive a free singlet, cap and entry, as well as priority support from us. If you'd rather not commit to a target - or want to participate at a different challenge event - you can also design your own fundraising page here.

 

Option 2: Host an event

Whether it's a morning tea, a sausage sizzle or a team picnic, you can encourage people to be part of your fundraising efforts.

You could encourage people to give a gold coin or small note donation in exchange for the food you've arranged; or 'tax' people a small amount for not wearing a splash of yellow; or even encourage people to 'buy' us a cup of coffee by donating the value of a cup of caffeine to R U OK?

Option 3. Ride for R U OK?


Cycle of the mind

Want to push your limits, be part of a team and ride across Australia? Join team R U OK? at the Bowral Classic on 23 October or Adelaide’s Ride Against Suicide on 8 September!
 
By raising awareness and funds for R U OK? you’ll make the distance covered, time spent and calories burned count. Questions? Contact us at hello@ruok.org.au

 

Option 4. Trek for R U OK?


Trek kilimanjaro

Interested in trekking Everest, Kokoda, or Kilimanjaro? Want to combine a major personal challenge with raising awareness and funds for R U OK?

Trek for R U OK? and every step you take will help encourage more Aussies to reach out and support someone who’s struggling with life. 

Book through Back Track Adventures and they will kick-start your fundraising with a $300 donation. You'll also receive an R U OK? pack which includes a shirt, hat and water bottle.

Next steps?

Once you’ve decided what you’d like to do, follow these steps and we’ll aim to get back to you within 48 hours:


1. Email us at hello@ruok.org.au if you have any questions
2. If running in a challenge event, make sure you apply by clicking on your preferred event listed here.
3. If hosting an event, read our Guide for Fundraising and fill out the fundraising form online or download the fundraising form. We need to approve all events hosted on our behalf and will aim to respond in 48 hours
4. Share your event to inspire others
5. Order your own donation box to help you collect funds here. We encourage people to claim the cost of the box from the donations raised
6. Once you've had the event, any funds raised can be sent to R U OK? at 1 Kent Street Millers Point NSW 2000. You can also deposit it straight into our HSBC account: Bank BSB Code: 342 011; Account Number: 471 083 001
7. Send us pictures, feedback and snippets of amazing conversation you've had along the way

The best thing you can do is raise the question “are you ok?” with your mates.
But raising awareness in your community will certainly help our cause.
As will raising funds. As a registered charity, all donations over $2 are tax deductible.
